Back in July, we had the honour of hosting my cousin and his beautiful wife’s wedding here at his childhood home of Hallsannery. A true family affair with flowers, food, music and cakes all concocted by armies of relatives and friends, we had the excitement of being both hosts – and guests.
Lovers of the great outdoors, Matt and Sam had their hearts set on getting married outside under the Portico and thankfully the weather played ball. Their ceremony was followed by drinks and music on the lawn, before we took our seats in the stunningly bedecked BBD marquee on the East Lawn for a sumptuous wedding hog roast feast provided by Leisa and her team at Devon Catering. As the evening drew in, we hit the dance floor in the dining room before – some of us! – headed off to bed. An amazing couple, an amazing day! Here’s a little of what they had to say…
‘Thank you so much for everything you did for our wedding; you really made the day special for us. We hope you had as much fun as we did…’
I think it’s safe to say that yes, we did!
