Sleeping

We are great believers that a good night’s sleep leads to a good next day,
and a good next day leads to a happy stay

Hallsannery House has 11 gorgeous bedrooms, all with ginormous beds and all en-suite. No arguments over who has that ‘back of the house boxroom’ – all the bedrooms are a great size, all have a touch of Hallsannery style and most have stunning views. No fighting for space in a squished-up bed – all the beds are luxurious superkings or kings with plenty of space to stretch out and snooze. No queuing for the loo whilst they take the longest of showers – all the rooms have their own Victorian-style en-suites with either showers, baths or sometimes both.

With luxurious linen and the fluffiest of towels, complimentary toiletries including the most addictive Clovelly Company soaps, elegant furnishings designed with comfort in mind and a kettle and mugs in each room for those who need a morning cuppa before facing the world, Hallsannery bedrooms offer guests truly sumptuous sleeps.

Bedroom 1

With breath-taking dual aspect views over parkland, town and river, a gorgeous four poster bed, oodles of space and an en-suite with roll-top bath and walk-in shower, it’s little surprise that this bedroom is often chosen as the master ‘bridal suite’.

Bedroom 2

This beautifully proportioned room has picture-book windows framing the view over parkland, estuary and rolling hills beyond, whilst the extra-long sleigh bed is ideal for taller guests. The ‘pod’ wetroom with shower is particularly popular as an alternative to an enclosed en-suite.

Bedroom 3

Another beautiful dual-aspect, spacious bedroom with a four-poster bed and dusk-pink curtains, but this time with a ‘pod’ en-suite. Plenty of space for additional beds or cots for smaller folk if needed.

Bedroom 4

One of Hallsannery’s unexpected gems, the ‘balcony room’ has its own raised west-facing sun-room, perfect for a spot of early evening reading. The impressive Delft tile fireplace sets the tone for the calming blue of the room, and the large shower en-suite tops it all off.

Bedroom 5

A fantastic family room with a superking bed (can be made up as a twin), bunk, en-suite with a bath and shower over and still plenty of floor space for extra beds and play! Pop all the kids in here for the ultimate ‘no sleep’ sleepover or keep it calmer if you wish.

Bedroom 6

One of our favourites, this beautiful dual aspect room has far reaching views over the east lawn, fields and down to the river bend – perfect for indulging in the Sunday papers with a cuppa in bed. The light and spacious en-suite boasts a bath with shower over and the signature Hallsannery high cistern loo.

Bedroom 7

With a traditional iron bedstead, comfy chairs facing out over rhododendrons and river and the ultimate ‘loo with a view’ (estuary and hill views to die for) this elegant room is a great choice for couples and those going solo alike.

Bedroom 8

The first of the ‘servant’s quarters’ bedrooms, this room provides a tranquil country cottage style space to retreat to. The iron superking bedstead provides the comfiest of sleeps, whilst the large shower allows water lovers to indulge. Views over the hydrangeas in full flower from early summer and of the Hallsannery Bell Tower.

Bedroom 9

A light-filled dual aspect bedroom facing the Coach House and, again the sea of hydrangeas. Ideal for guests wanting to escape the hubbub of the front of the house and enjoy the serenity and style of this elegant room and its equally elegant en-suite.

Bedroom 10

Boasting an extra-long wooden sleigh bed, extra-large en-suite with extra-large walk in shower, bedroom 10 is perfect for guests in search of space or for popping in a travel cot or additional bed for a little ‘un. Idyllic countryside views from both bathroom and bedroom.

Bedroom 11

This Malabar check curtain’d bedroom is fully accessible and fully gorgeous. With a superking divan bed which can also be a twin, a sofa bed ideal for a small person if required, patio doors which can be flung open to the courtyard on hot summer days, not to mention wider doorways and a fully equipped wet room (with signature Burlington fixtures and fittings and assistance bars if required), this downstairs bedroom offers space, style and everything you need from an ‘easy to access’ room.
